Over the past few months, I’ve taken a step back to look at my business, the work I enjoy the most and, most importantly, where I deliver the greatest value to my customers. After a lot of thought, I’ve decided to refine my focus and put exterior cleaning at the heart of Ollie Edward Services.

This isn’t a complete change in direction—it’s a natural evolution of the business.

Since starting Ollie Edward Services, I’ve been proud to offer a wide range of property maintenance and exterior services. From groundwork and repairs to working at height, I’ve built my reputation on being reliable, professional and committed to doing every job properly.

As my business has grown, one thing has become increasingly clear.

Specialising in Exterior Cleaning

The work that consistently produces the best results, the happiest customers and gives me the greatest sense of satisfaction is exterior cleaning. Whether it’s restoring a weathered driveway, clearing blocked gutters, cleaning fascias and soffits, bringing windows back to life or safely cleaning roofs, these are the projects where my experience, specialist equipment and attention to detail really make a difference.

Rather than trying to be everything to everyone, I’ve made the decision to specialise in what I do best.

That doesn’t mean I’ve forgotten where I started.

I still offer many of the additional services my existing customers know me for, including working at height, gutter repairs and selected property maintenance. However, my primary focus moving forward will be delivering high-quality exterior cleaning services to both domestic and commercial customers.

This change has also allowed me to invest more time into improving the business behind the scenes.

I’ve been updating my website, refining the information I provide, investing in specialist equipment and continuing to develop my knowledge so I can offer an even better service. I’m also working on improving the customer journey, from the first enquiry right through to completing a job. One thing that will never change is how I approach my work.

That’s why I always take the time to assess each job individually, explain the available options and recommend the approach I genuinely believe is best. Sometimes that means using specialist cleaning products, sometimes it means avoiding chemicals altogether, and sometimes it means saying that a particular method simply isn’t appropriate.
